Wedding | Megan & Chris | Lucchesi Vineyard

I am beyond excited to share with you this wedding that I shot a few months ago with Kevin George Photography. Megan began her morning with her bridesmaids at the Holbrooke Hotel in Grass Valley.  The hotel was filled with lots of historical character and beautiful lighting and made a fantastic place to take pictures.

Again the beautiful lighting and historical furniture set the stage for these beautiful images of Megan. These are some of my favorites of the day!

Chris and Megan opted for a “First Look” which allowed us plenty of time to take pictures before the ceremony. We did this in the Holbrooke Hotel lobby.

The next series of pictures were taken while walking around Grass Valley.

Next it was off to the Lucchesi Vineyard for the wedding ceremony and reception.

Congratulations to you both and thanks to Kevin George for letting me second shoot for him!!!

2nd Annual Thanksgiving Photoshoot | Finals

As previously mentioned, on Thanksgiving we had our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving vacation photoshoot! The pictures are a bit overdue, but my Dad took some pictures as well and I grabbed them off his computer over the break. I wanted to make sure those were incorporate into this post so I apologize for the delay!

I wish you knew how much we were laughing while taking these – seriously laughing 99% of the time! This is why we are not paid models because we would be on the floor rolling the whole time! So, yes, please laugh along with us as I show these!!!!

Even Kevin George got in on the action.

And lastly, photo credits go to both Kevin George and myself (as previously mentioned, we both took pictures and it would be to complicated to say who took each one)!

Hyatt Sacramento Wedding | Nicole + Zach

Yeeeeeeah – I have been looking forward to posting these pictures since I took them!!! A few weeks ago, I got the chance to be the second shooter for my dad, the man behind Kevin George Photography!!!!

Nicole and Zach had a beautiful ceremony and reception held at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Sacramento. They were a fantastic couple to shoot and I was blessed to spend the day with them. So lets get to the pictures!!!!!

This picture was taken of Nicole in front of the only window in the room. This little amount of light in the room was a treasure and helped to get these beautiful images of Nicole glowing.

This is Dean, Nicole and Zach’s son. Dean was such a trooper and wore his little tux like a gentleman.

Again, here is more of that beautiful light we were able to capture Nicole in. All of the flowers were crafted by Mom’s Wholesale Florist in beautiful oranges, reds, and fresh greens.

Nicole and Zach got ready in the hotel room together, so that sure made things easy because no first look was required! After everyone was finished getting ready, we headed over to the Capitol to continue the pictures. This is one of my favorites of the day – Nicole looking amazing and Zach gazing at his bride. STUNNING!!!

Nicole had fantastic bridesmaids — I think I snapped this one after Nicole had everyone rolling with her contagious laugh!  She even had me laughing for no reason!

This guy knew how to have a good time, this was just his warm up to the dance floor!

I love to get a glimpse of the parents during the ceremony and I just love this picture I captured of Zach’s Dad during the exchange of vows.

I love this little boy at the bar – I promise, he was buying Roy Rogers for him and his brother.

This was taken from the balcony of the Hyatt downtown which has a fantastic view of Sacramento and the Capitol.

And lastly, here is a beautiful picture to end the perfect night, the bride and groom enjoying a dance with the Capitol brightly lit in the background. Congratulations Nicole and Zach and thanks to my Dad for letting me join him in the fun!!

Sights and Sounds of Apple Hill Contest WINNER!!

Thank you all so much for participating in the photo contest – it was fun to see everyone’s different picture preferences!!! While the competition was close with 35 votes for my pictures and 33 votes for Dad’s pictures, the winner for best picture goes to Kevin George for the old man eating the apple!!!  When my Dad took that picture he knew it was going to be a winner!! (For those of you who don’t know, Kevin George is my Dad, (George is his middle name).

If you check the initial contest post we have revealed who took each picture for those of you who are curious!

And there was a 7 way tie for 5th place, between pictures: 1, 2, 8, 9, 11, 12, & 18.  Thanks again to everyone who participated, we might just have to do this again!!!!

May your fall be filled with lots of pumpkin pie, cider, and yummy apple pie!

never too old to play dress up.

In order to get a few new pictures for my Dad’s photography website (www.kevingeorgephotography.com), I decided it would be fun to organize a mini-photoshoot! I recruited a few picture loving girls, picked up some of my favorite spring flowers, created a few amazing accessories (check out the flower headbands!), and told my Dad to snap away at all the beauty!

Here was the inspiration board created to give everyone involved the overall vision of the shoot: * sorry, I did not keep track of where all these images are from, but I know some are Jose Villa, Duet Weddings, Style Me Pretty

The day was filled with sunshine and lots of girlieness which always means lots of laughter! I think all the pink, flowers, and hairspray scared any potential snakes away because, thankfully, they all decided to stay home that day!

Although this shoot was set-up for my Dad, I just just couldn’t pass up the chance to take a few pictures myself! These girls were definitely channeling their inner top model and really poured on the fierceness!

See why I was so excited to share! These girls looked totally stunning and everything turned out beautiful! A big thank you to Corynne, Melissa, Kelsey, and Mom!
