FAQ

What camera do you use?
We use a Nikon D90 with a variety of lenses: 85mm f1.4; 12-24mm f4; 35mm f1.8; 50mm f1.8. We also have 100% manual film camera that was gifted to us by my Dad, Nikon FM3a.

How did you and Ryan meet?
We met while I was a Junior at UC Santa Barbara and Ryan was working in downtown LA. You can read more about it here in Our Wedding magazine.

Who takes your pictures?
At this time, I take the majority of the pictures featured on the blog.  Any pictures of me are taken by the hubby!

How and why did you start your blog?
Naturally, after Ryan and I got engaged in 2008 we set up a wedding website.  We did not like any of the wedding websites offered at the time so we created our own using Google. I was so picky on how the website was to look, so I had to learn a bit of html coding, Photoshop, and how to use our newly purchased Nikon D60. We loved having a way to feature our photographs, other than Facebook, and as part of our website we created a blog feature to keep our friends and family updated. Once the wedding ended, we decided to keep the blog rolling as a creative outlet for the both of us.

Can we use your pictures featured on the blog?
No, because all images are original photographs and subject to copyright (unless otherwise indicated).

What do you guys do for a living?
We both graduated from UC Santa Barbara with degrees in Business Economics, emphasis in accounting. We studied for our CPA exam together and thankfully, both passed all four parts. Now we make our living as consultant/forensic accountants for different companies. Pretty dorky, I know!

What is your favorite food?
Shan: Spaghetti Factory Mizithra, El Tarasco Cheese Enchiladas, Yogurtland,  Champagne

Ryan: Anything Shan cooks!

What do you use to edit your pictures?
I use a mix of Aperture, Photoshop CS5, Florabella Actions, and other actions I created myself {mostly curves, blending layers, and black point adjusting}.

How can we contact you?
Feel free to email me at shancait@gmail.com
