This morning on the drive into work, Ryan and I were talking about the recent chill in the air and how quickly it happened. As we looked around the vast urban area called Los Angeles we confirmed what we already knew to be true but are not willing to accept, the leaves do not change color here. Being in Southern California means we have one season, Sprummer. (Sprummer = The transitional season between summer and spring with temperatures ranging between 67 and 78 degrees Farenheit). While this wonderful one season climate makes for a very active outdoor lifestyle, this also means that we miss out of the sight of leaves changing magnificent colors. One day, I hope to plan a trip soley for the purpose of viewing the beautiful leaves as they change from green to orange and red and to witness the beauty that is brought by a change in the seasons. But for now I will have to settle for looking at this picture provided by Chris Scanlon taken from his cell phone from his office in Boston. Ahhhh, how peaceful.
